We’ve all been sent huge documents, or created them ourselves knowing that our bosses aren’t going to read the whole thing.

There’s no need to take your document separately to Gemini to summarise those files, because you can quickly add and update one right inside Google Docs.

How to add an AI summary to Google Docs

  1. In your document, type the @ symbol

  2. Scroll down and choose ‘AI summary’

  1. Click ✓ to insert the summary

  2. [Optional] If you make changes to the document click ‘Refresh summary’ to update it
