I've previously shared how you can use Gemini to create forms, which is incredibly helpful for collecting information from customers or managing sign-ups. But Gemini just added a new feature to Google Forms that takes things a step further: the ability to create quizzes.

Imagine you have a new employee handbook, a fresh set of company policies, or compliance training. You might want to make sure your team has actually read and understood the material.

Here's how it works:

How to have Gemini create a quiz from a document

  1. Open a new Google Form (the quickest way is to type forms.new into your browser).

  2. In the Gemini pop-up that appears, type a simple prompt. For example: "Create a 10 question quiz based on this document"

  3. Type the @ symbol directly in the prompt box to search your Google Drive.

  4. Select the document you want to test them on (like your Employee Handbook PDF).

  5. Click Create.

  6. Review your new quiz! Gemini will automatically write the questions, select the correct answers in the answer key, and even assign point values

  7. [Optional] Click on any question to manually edit the text, change the correct answer, or adjust the points just like you would in a normal Google Form.

As always, thanks for subscribing! If there’s something you’d love to see in a future newsletter, just hit reply and let me know.
