There’s a debate to be had about whether it’s the sender’s responsibility to consider whether an email will disturb the receiver, or whether it’s the receiver’s responsibility to mute notifications outside of their working hours. The same ‘schedule send’ functionality that has been around in Gmail for a while is now also available in Google Chat. Here’s how you can use both those features:
How to schedule emails in Gmail
When composing a new email…
Click the arrow attached to the ‘Send’ button
Click ‘Schedule send’
Select a time to send the message

How to schedule messages in Google Chat
When composing a message in Chat…
Click the arrow attached to the ‘Send’ button
Select a time to send the email

It’s that simple!
There’s just a couple more tips to drop before the end of the year.
See you in the next one!
