  1. Those who have so many tabs open in their browser they can’t even see the page titles

  2. Those who religiously close everything once they’re done - keeping just the tabs they need

Regardless of which one you are, this week’s tip will help you keep on top of your tabs in a new way!

How to group tabs in Google Chrome

Did you know you can group tabs? It’s helpful for keeping things together for different projects, research you’re doing, or even separating work and non-work browsing. Here’s how:

  1. Hold ctrl (Windows) or cmd (Mac) on your keyboard and click each tab you’d like to put in a group

  2. Right click one of them and choose ‘Add Tabs to New Group’

  3. Give the group a name and choose a colour

That's it! Now you can click on the group name to expand or collapse the group and keep things just how you like them.

Bonus: Pin tabs

Whilst you’re there - why not try clicking the ‘Pin Tab’ option when you right click? Pinned tabs can’t be accidentally closed - you’ll need to right click to close it. Personally, I always keep my Gmail and Calendar tabs pinned!
